Length Close to 5m Distribution In the tropical and warm temperate waters of Indian and Pacific oceans, from Japan and California to Southern Australia.
Weight ? Identification Poorly known, but has moderate beak with arched jaw line and a round melon. In males the position of the tooth, half way along the jaw line, maybe extenuated by white markings on an otherwise dark animal.
Diet Probably deep sea fish and squid. Threats Poorly known, occasionally opportunistically hunted.
