It provides maps of sightings and strandings, information on recent sightings, aids to identification, a comprehensive publications list and a wealth of other information on beaked whales. The site is intended to appeal to users of all levels of interest - from the general public to beaked whale specialists. Ultimately the Beaked Whale Resource aims to raise the profile of this little known group.
The Beaked Whale Resource encourages participation through collation of sightings and strandings records. We also welcome photographs to improve our knowledge of whale appearance and contribute to photo-identification catalogues.
